German B2C revenues on a high |
| German B2C revenues on a high Online retail sales in Germany will reach EUR8 billion (USD8.17 billion) this year, reports Deutsche Welle. This is according to a new forecast issued by the German Retailers Association, HDE. The organisation expects sales to rise 60 percent compared to last year. Total online sales will be equivalent to 1.6 percent of all retail sales in 2002, a 60 percent increase over the previous year. Around 10 percent of sales will occur over the holiday season, according to HDE. The organisation predicts that Internet shoppers in Germany will spend at least EUR800 million (USD817 million) online on gifts and presents. Source:Deutsche Welle |
