| Italy Wood Furniture Revenue Down to 38.1 Bln
Euro for 2002 The revenue from wood furniture in Italy is expected to decrease to 38.1 bln euro ($38.4 bln) for 2002 from 38.8 bln euro ($39.1 bln) for 2001, the Italian Federation of Wood and Furniture Industries, Federlegno-Arredo, said on December 12, 2002. Sales of wood furniture in Italy are expected to register a 0.7 pct year-on-year decrease and Italian exports of wood furniture to decrease by 3.1 pct year-on-year for 2002. Sales on the international markets may boost the revenue in the sector, Federlegno said. Italian exports of wood furniture to Russia totalled 274.5 mln euro ($276.8 mln) from January to August 2002, up 3.7 pct year-on-year. |
