HIGH POINT, N.C. (November 27) -- New orders in September for residential furniture increased 9 percent from September 2001, according to the latest survey of manufacturers conducted by BDO/Seidman, which noted that the increase for the month isn't a fair comparison with September 2001 when results were clouded by the terrorist attacks.
