Study Sees Cabinet Demand Increasing 7% Annually
Through 2006 A new study by The Freedonia Group Inc. projects U.S. cabinet demand to increase to $15.6 billion by 2006, an annual growth rate of 6.8%. Both residential and nonresidential demand are expected to grow. While nonresidential cabinets make up only one-fifth of the market, the nonresidential market will grow slightly faster than the residential market, 7.2% annually versus 6.7%, respectively. Growth for both markets is expected to come from strong remodeling demand, while the new construction outlook is sluggish. The full report, Cabinets, is 252 pages and available for $3,700 from The Freedonia Group Inc., 767 Beta Drive, Cleveland, OH 44143-2326.
