German Kunert Gruppe has announced a price increase for
coreboard. The increase is set to take effect from 1 September
2026 and applies to both of the group’s paper mills, Carl Macher
i germany and Papeteries du Rhin in France.
The company said it would raise prices by at least 10 per cent
due to persistently high cost pressures across all areas of
production. The development of costs over the coming months
remained difficult to predict. Should the current trend
continue, Kunert Group said it could not rule out further price
adjustments in the near future.
Carl Macher and Papeteries du Rhin are part of Kunert Gruppe,
which operates a total of 17 production sites for coreboard,
paper cores and corrugated board in Europe and Asia and employs
around 2,000 people. The group also maintains sales offices in
Europe and Asia and is a member of a global partner network.
The company says it produces around 330,000 tpy of paper cores,
corrugated board and edge protectors as well as around 250,000
tpy of coreboard.
