U.S. Cabinet Manufacturers Report 2.8% YoY Drop in Overall Cabinet Sales for June 2026

Cabinet manufacturers reported overall cabinet sales of were down 2.8% for June 2026 compared to the same month in 2025, continuing a decline that has continued since 2025. Each month in 2026 saw monthly declines, which followed 2025 sales that also ended in decline. Having said that, there were some positive signs evident.

Responding companies reported overall sales of $191.0 million for June 2026, a decrease of 2.8% from the year prior. Semi-custom and stock cabinets sales were hit the hardest. Semi-custom sales dropped 7.5% to $104.561 million and stock sales fell 1.2%, to $31,987 million.

On the positive side of the ledger, custom sales were up 6.6% to $54,490. In June 2025, custom sales were $51,134.

Overall, respondents reported a cabinet quantity for the month of 498,035, down 7.0% compared to June 2025 figures.

Positive results were found in a month-over-month comparison with increases in all three categories. Survey respondents reported that in June custom sales were up 4.5%; semi-custom sales were up 2.4%, and stock cabinet sales were up 8.8%.

Cabinet quantity compared to the month prior rose 13.1%.

Year-to-date sales were in the red, however. For the year to date, estimated sales by responding companies were $1,060 million, and cabinet quantity was 2.741 million. As seen in the chart below, custom sales were down 1.4%; semi-custom sales fell 8.8%; and stock sales dropped 9.0%.

The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) represents kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than 40 years.
