
Building materials distributor SRS Distribution — owned by The
Home Depot since September 2024 — announced an acquisition in
Central Illinois on Feb. 27, two days after announcing deals in
New York’s Long Island and Lincoln, NE.
SRS said it has acquired LS Building Products — a distributor of
roofing, lumber, siding, windows & doors, millwork and other
complementary building products based in East Peoria, IL.
Founded in 1950, LS is owned and operated by Troy Reed, Matt
Jaeger and Dan Schumacher, who will continue to ldad the
business going forward. The company operated four distribution
locations and three production facilities throughout Central
Illinois and has a team of over 220 employees.
“LS perfectly fills a gap in our Midwest branch network while
also adding a considerable volume of roofing and siding sales in
a previously untapped market,” said Kent Gardner, President of
