U.S. residential furniture factory orders in September increased 15% from August and 7% from the same month last year. Year-to-date orders were unchanged from the same period in 2024.

Furniture shipments rose 3% from August and 6% from September 2024. Shipments fell 1% through the first nine months of 2025 compared to last year. Backlogs grew 5% from the prior month and 2% from September 2024.
