Prologis is now leasing the first mass timber warehouse in
North America.
The first mass timber warehouse in North America was recently
made available for lease in Brampton, Ontario, marking a notable
milestone for sustainability in industrial development.
Developed by Prologis, the 246,000 square-foot facility was
built using mass timber construction, and is designed to achieve
a 47% carbon reduction and offset more than 1,000 metric tons of
carbon dioxide, a significant advancement compared to
traditional building materials.
On the province level, as Ontario advances its Advanced Wood
Construction Action Plan, Brampton has sought to take the lead,
aligning with provincial goals and reinforcing the city’s
reputation for climate conscious industrial growth.
Located within Brampton’s logistics and advanced manufacturing
corridor, the new mass timber warehouse features: 35 shipping
docks, 210 parking spaces, and 12 EV charging stations; close
proximity to Lululemon’s 1 million+-square-foot facility and Pet
Valu’s 670,000-square-foot distribution center; and connectivity
to Highways 427, 407, 410, Pearson International Airport, and
key intermodal hubs. The facility has the potential to create
200 to 400 jobs, drawing upon Brampton’s skilled, diverse
workforce.
