As part of its growth strategy, Lilleheden has entered into a strengthened partnership with Versowood, Finland’s leading glulam manufacturer. This expanded collaboration will enable the company to manage seasonal fluctuations in production and handle exceptionally large projects more efficiently. Under the agreement, Lilleheden can now utilise Versowood as a subcontractor for large structures, major projects, or times of temporary production capacity challenges. Versowood will produce glulam according to the precise specifications, ensuring continuity of high-quality results.

In response to increasing demand for sustainable construction solutions in Denmark, Lilleheden is scaling up its production of glulam – a key component for eco-friendly building projects. As the construction sector continues to grow, Lilleheden is investing in enhanced production capabilities, automation, and expanding its engineering and design office to support both large and small-scale projects.

Despite this strategic collaboration, Lilleheden will retain full responsibility for direct customer interactions and communication, ensuring clients continue to receive the exceptional service the company is known for.

The partnership with Versowood acts as a vital capacity buffer, providing Lilleheden with greater flexibility and resilience to meet the rising demand for complex glulam projects. With Versowood’s expertise and access to top-quality Finnish timber, this expansion provides a natural progression in their relationship, supporting Lilleheden’s ability to scale production and continue its industry-leading work in glulam solutions.

Versowood stands as Finland’s largest private entity within mechanical wood processing. The company operates six sawmill lines and annually sources approximately 3.8 million m³ of raw timber from PEFC-certified forestry. With three glulam factories in Finland, Versowood uses only high-quality Finnish timber in its production, solidifying its position as a leader in the glulam and woodworking industry. The company is technologically advanced, bringing expert knowledge to all aspects of wood processing, including glulam production.
