GERMANY: Packaging wood prices keep rising
In May, the prices for packaging wood continued their upward trend, with solid wood recording particularly marked increases lately.

GERMANY: Pellet imports more than doubled
In the first quarter, Germany more than doubled its pellet imports compared to the same period of 2024. The biggest quantities were purchased from Denmark, Poland and Belgium.

GERMANY: Slight decrease in chipboard exports
In the first quarter, Germany saw its exports chipboards and OSB decrease compared to last year. Main foreign market Poland received a much smaller volume, while increases were recorded in deliveries to France or Belgium.

GERMANY: Massive decrease in softwood log exports
In the first quarter, Germany saw its softwood sawlog exports decrease by nearly 27% year on year to only 430,000 m³. Austria and China are still the most important customers, accounting for nearly 70% of German exports％.
