The sawmill industry's locations are receptive to sawn round timber.

Prices for the leading spruce A/C 2b+ range are between 93 and 110 euros across Austria. Demand for pine is also continuing to pick up. Demand for larch remains high and can hardly be met. At the beginning of the hardwood season, demand for oak and ash is particularly high. The price level corresponds to that of the previous year for good quality. At the end of January, the Lower and Upper Austrian forest associations organise timber submissions.

The paper, pulp and board industry is well stocked with coniferous industrial timber. Removal and acceptance take place continuously. Prices are stable. Demand for copper beech fibrewood is also stable.
