Global pellet appliance sales
face challenges amid rebound: Madison¡¯s |
A recent report released by the US International Energy Agency (IEA) indicated that global residential pellet appliance sales have begun to recover from last year¡¯s lows. With wood pellets becoming more affordable in several key consuming countries, the IEA¡¯s annual Renewables 2024 report noted that the use of biomass for residential heating applications has been growing rapidly over the past decade, particularly in the European residential sector. The European Union is the world¡¯s foremost pellet market, accounting for 44%of production and 50% of consumption in 2023, mainly for residential use.
