The Lucerne-based Renggli Group thinks on a European scale when it comes to wooden modules and has set an exclamation mark with the opening of a 20,000 square meter plant near Berlin.

According to Renggli, which is based in Schötz in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, Germany's largest timber module plant was opened in Eberswalde near Berlin a few days ago. The company and founding member of Timpla GmbH is the Renggli Group, based in the canton of Lucerne. The production area of the new plant measures 20,000 square meters. It will produce 2,000 wooden modules per year. The first customers are a housing cooperative and a regional administration. "We are convinced that Timpla will play a relevant role in the European timber construction market, that the mutual transfer of expertise will enable innovations to create added value more quickly and on a larger scale, and that the core competencies of both companies complement each other perfectly," says David Renggli, CEO of the Renggli Group.
