Furniture of America plans new expanded East Coast distribution center
[Oct 7, 2024]

A new facility, increased distribution capacity and expanded East Coast operations are on the agenda for Furniture of America in early 2025.

According to company officials, plans are currently underway for a ”°significantly larger”± warehouse in New Jersey, along with the addition of new sales team members that will concentrate on the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. The new location will offer all Furniture of America catalog products as well as the options for direct container programs, truckloads and pickups at the will-call center.

”°This is an exciting next step for Furniture of America to expand and renew its presence on the East Coast where there is a heavy concentration of retailers including many of the Top 100,”± said Jodi Brookshire, corporate vice president of sales and marketing. ”°This will enable us to have more of our extensive product line and have it ready to ship next day to our dealers with local delivery. The new space will also allow for a showroom to display new and exclusive items giving retailers an opportunity to experience the product anytime.”±

In addition to the East Coast expansion, Furniture of America is increasing its footprint at the High Point Market this month with an additional 15,000-square-foot showroom at 142 S. Main St.

”°This will allow for displaying our more than 100 new introductions for dealers to view during the upcoming market and support the coming expansion of our presence on the East Coast”± said Brookshire. ”°As we progress in our preparation, stay tuned to further announcements of the seamless transition to the new location that will be referred to as Furniture of America East Coast.”±

Furniture of America currently has 30,000 square feet of showroom space in the International Home Furnishings Center, in C-700 and 703, that will be open during the upcoming market, Oct. 26-30.

FOA is a full line furniture resource headquartered in City of Industry, Calif., with more than 2.5 million square feet of warehouse and distribution centers in California, Texas, Georgia and New Jersey as well as a dedicated e-commerce division.
