Allowable Annual Cut remains the
same south of Terrace, B.C. |
British Columbia¡¯s deputy chief forester has set the allowable annual cut (AAC) for Tree Farm Licence 41 (TFL 41), located south of Terrace, at 128,000 cubic metres. This decision maintains the previous AAC level. The determination includes two partitions to promote sustainable forestry: a maximum of 76,800 cubic metres can be harvested from slopes under 50%, and no more than 12,800 cubic metres from cedar species. The decision considered factors such as wildlife habitat, terrain stability, and old forest health. Local First Nations and the public were consulted during the timber-supply review process.
