It was the first weekly increase in several weeks, after dropping the previous week to its lowest price since April 2020. Summary of the week-to-week lumber prices and plywood prices for the week ending July 19, 2024:
　

• The Random Lengths framing lumber composite price rose 0.6% from the previous week.
  • Prices remain below $400 per thousand board feet, where they've been for 14 consecutive weeks.
• The price of lumber futures increased 11.1% and is up 8.9% over the past month.
  • Prices are 9.3% lower than a year ago. 
• The structural panel composite price was down 0.2% from the previous week.
  • OSB prices were flat (down 24% in the past year).
  • Western Fir plywood prices were also flat.
  • Southern Yellow Pine plywood prices declined 0.3%.
