Austria Log imports at last year’s level
From January to April, Austria imported nearly 2.3 million m³ of softwood sawlogs, recording a slight year-on-year decrease of 2%. In terms of volumes, Germany has been the number one supplier so far this year, followed by the Czech Republic.

Softwood lumber exports increased
Until the end of April, Austria exported more softwood lumber than in the first four months of last year. The biggest increases were recorded in exports to Japan, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Romania.
