VERNON HILLS, IL — Würth Baer Supply Company, the Vernon Hills, IL-based distributor to the cabinet-manufacturing and woodworking industries, has acquired Russell Plywood, a supplier of hardwood veneer plywood and related panel products, the company announced.

The acquisition, whose terms were not disclosed, geographically expands Würth’s core woodworking business in Pennsylvania, the company said. Russell Plywood is headquartered in Reading, PA, and maintains an additional site in Wilmington, DE. Under the terms of the acquisition, Russell Plywood will operate as a division of Würth Baer Supply Company, with both its locations managed by existing general, sales and operations management.

“The Würth organization is extremely pleased to add Russell Plywood to our expanding portfolio of woodworking companies,” said Würth CEO John Geraghty. “Russell Plywood has been in business since 1953, and they have a meaningful reputation in the Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey markets.

“We look forward to expanding the Würth brand with Russell Plywood in the future.”
