Compared to the previous year, Germany’s exports of beech log wood decreased slightly in 2023. It was, in fact, the smallest export volume ever recorded since records began in 2006.

Last year, German beech lumber exports fell to 328,000 m3. It is the lowest export volume since 2009 and the second-lowest since records of the Federal Statistical Office Destatis began in 2006.
