Landscape Forms acquires premium teak
furnishings producer |
Landscape Forms, a North American designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, LED lighting and accessories, has acquired Summit Furniture, maker of handcrafted, sustainable, outdoor teak furnishings for the residential, hospitality and marine markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. “I have personally admired Summit Furniture for a long time and could see the tremendous synergies between our brands,” said Landscape Forms CEO Marjorie Simmons. “We’ve had the opportunity to build a relationship with them over the past several years. Welcoming them into the Landscape Forms family is a natural evolution and very exciting for all of us.” Headquartered in Monterey, Calif., with locations in Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Monaco and London, Summit Furniture has produced premium teak furniture for more than 40 years. Summit will remain a standalone business, becoming part of Landscape Forms’ portfolio of brands, which also includes Loll Designs and Kornegay Design. The Summit team will continue to be led by Chairman Jane Sieberts and President Hilary Gustafsson. In addition, Kirt Martin will serve as managing director of the company in addition to his current role as chief innovation officer at Landscape Forms. In 2020, Landscape Forms acquired Minnesota-based Loll Designs, its first foray in the residential outdoor furniture market. |
