Report
Sales of framing lumber were uneven, and price trends were mixed.
Weather and transportation remained focal points for many traders.
Another storm hit the Midwest, Northeast, and Eastern Canada, blunting
hopes for a seasonal pickup. Where drier and warmer temperatures
prevailed, reports were mixed regarding a corresponding increase in
sales; while some traders were encouraged, others were disappointed.
Modest gains in Western S-P-F were narrowly offset by weakness in
green Fir.

Random Lengths Panel Market Report
Structural panel prices were mixed. The toll of winter weather on
demand was reflected in weakening prices for OSB, especially from
Canadian producers. Those with loads available for quick shipment
often took a more aggressive approach to sales. Southern Pine
plywood prices were flat to up slightly in uneven trading. Thursday
was a big day of sales for some traders. Western Fir plywood sales
remained lethargic as more snow across the nation¨s northern tier
had buyers pondering their next move from the sidelines.
