Report
Trading of framing lumber was hit and miss, and prices were flat to
narrowly mixed. The Montreal Wood Convention drew traders away from
their offices for the week, while buyers in the Upper Midwest and East
were still dealing with snow-filled yards, and not interested in
taking on additional inventories. However, moderating weather across
the South drew in some buyers. All told, modest weakness prevailed,
with the Random Lengths Framing Lumber Composite Price falling for a
fourth straight week.

Random Lengths Panel Market Report
Structural panel sales gained momentum. Winter weather remained
in control of OSB markets. Those in the northern half of the
continent still struggled with snow and cold, but demand surged in
the South and in Southern California. Southern Pine plywood sales
were steady enough for several westside mills to push order files
into the week of March 10. Last week¨s firming trend carried over
in western Fir plywood markets. A measured start to trading turned
more active in the middle of the week.
