Incorporated in 1996, the firm is located in the "city of wood & woodcraft" (Saharanpur) in India. CONDITIONS OF TRADING

1. PRICE : FOB Mumbai in US $ / CIF in US$ Destination.

2. DELIVERY : Normal delivery schedule at port of despatch is 7-9 weeks. Effective 12 weeks at port of discharge after receipt of confirmed order. For Air Cargo the effective delivery period at port of discharge is 9-10 weeks after receipt of confirmed order.

3. PACKING : Products are either individually shrink or paper wrapped with product code. Special & recycled paper packaging can be arranged after mutual consultation. Final packing is 7 INDIVIDUAL ply corrugated box (0.45 x0.45x0.5 meters) lined with paper straw, firmly strapped with SELF-plastic straps - Sea/Air Worthy.

4. LABELLING / : Outer packing is marked on two sides as per prevailing packaging MARKING regulation/requests.


5. QUALITY : a) Wooden Products: -
The Products are made from Kiln / Steam seasoned (moisture contents 8-12%) timbers such as:
Neem, Papri, Haldu, Eucalyptus, Tun, Babool, Mango, Jamun & Sissoo, free from all defects. The finish is matt/gloss & may be in natural finish or coloured using special non-toxic paints. Only quality adhesives are used (epoxy) & no nails or metal components are used in toys, conforming to the International Toys Safety Regulations DIN 68861 1B; DIN 53160 EN-71 (SWEAT-& saliva resistance).


6. PAYMENT : By irrevocable Letter of Credit - Sight draft. Else 50% advance & balance against documents through bank - sight draft.


7. SAMPLES : Design of buyers are welcome but sample development will be on minimum deposit of US$ 1000/- adjustable against first order. Samples at cost may be provided at buyerˇs account.


I - TIMBERS

Rubber Wood : Hopea species) The company has three established vendors in south lndia from where it procures rubber wood, pressure impregnated with Boric/Borax & kiln dried to 8 - 10 percent moisture content.
Usage experience - 5 years in Manufacturing

Accacia nillotica: Babool - medium hardwood achieving very high structural strength after seasoning. One of the lesser knew secondary timber species of lndia, abundantly available locally.
Usage experience- 5 years in Manufacturing

Magnifera indica: Mango - fruit tree & currently available in fairly large quantities. Seasons & machines well. Good staining properties. Pottery Barn currently sources itˇs wood products in this timber from lndia.
Usage experience - 5 years in Manufacturing

Dalbergia sissoo: Ornamental hardwood, expensive but is widely used in lndia for furniture & house building.
Usage experience -5 years in Manufacturing

Newzeal& pine: Currently imported in log/sleeper form.
Usage experience 2 years in Manufacturing


Plywood : We Use special grade multiply, compressed plywood & plywood or block board according to our specific requirements conforming to E1 norms of formaldehyde emission & strength. The plywood is made from captive in-house plantation timber of 300 acres of l&.


II - RE PLANTATION

We have our own re-plantation program of 5000 Dalbergia sissoo trees for past 5 years, being 12 times our current consumption of timber.

III - ADHESIVES

Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA) or Phenol Formaldehyde or Urea Formaldehyde (plasticized) with acceptable levels of emission suitable for baby or food products. Our products have been tested in Germany & USA for food/toy grade toxicity.

IV - HARDWARE

Sourced from Germany & Taiwan.


V - SOCIAL PERFORMANCE

The companies engaged with a consulting organization for social auditing conforming to ILO st&ards & observe human rights convention parameters for itˇs entire supply chain.
