Madeireira Rio Claro was founded in 1969 by Mr. J¨²lio Wronski Sobrinho in the District of Rio Claro do Sul, municipality of Mallet/PR, initially with a small sawmill powered by steam locomobile. In 1978 it also started to produce native wood veneers. Plywood production began in 1985, in the city of Rio Azul, in the southern region of the State of Paran¨¢, employing 41 employees at that time. From its foundation until 1998, production was entirely destined for the Internal Market.

As of this year, the company sought new horizons, entering the plywood export market, initially destined for England. Over the years there has been an increase in production destined for foreign countries and currently more than 90% of all production is exported to countries in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Central America and Mercosur.
