Bonet Woods and Papers Ltd

The group began in the mid-1930s with the installation of a sawmill on the Santa Catarina plateau, specifically in the city of Santa Cec¨ªlia, Santa Catarina.

The pioneering spirit of the founders went further and, in 1948, the company began its commercial relations with the Latin American and European markets, exporting sawn wood and directing all its production to its consumer centers for a long time.

Just four years after the new business expansion, Bonet inaugurated Empresa de Papelão Santa Cec¨ªlia SA, with its own generation of energy through its hydroelectric plants in Santa Cec¨ªlia.

Looking to the future, Bonet already predicted that the environment and well-kept and preserved natural resources would guarantee the future of the planet and, continuing its evolution, in 1962 inaugurated its industrial unit for manufacturing duplex cardboard for packaging in
