Domestic Lumber Trade Association of Ghana

Domestic Lumber Trade Association of Ghana is made up of small to medium producers and retailers of lumber solely for the local market.Source of lumber supply is mostly from illegal chainsaw.
With the full implementation of EU/VPA in Ghana soon,the challenge is to look elsewhere to augment the shortfall in the domestic supply.
The association is duly registered and has structures throughout the regions and districts.It has a governing council headed by a President and a Secretary who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the association and he is accountable to the governing council.
Plans are underway to import lumber from South America.
