Vilniaus Baldai AB begins its history from 1883 as I. Vainikis sawmill, situated in Lentpjūvių street (in the location of the current Seimas).

The industrial manufacturing of furniture developed in Vilnius only after the Second World War in the location of old sawmills of the city. In 1941, the premises of the former leather factory, located in U瀠pis microdistrict, were adapted to the furniture manufacturing. In 1960, the old furniture factory covered the production area of only 3900 square meters.

In 1963, the factory located to its current location in Savanorių Av. 178. In 1974 the production and administration premises occupying the area of 31 thousand square meters were built there; many modern facilities were installed. The activity of the company has continued in these premises to the present day.

In 1993, the company registered the status of a joint stock company.

In 2005, a new industrial subdivision of the company, located at the address Savanorių Av. 197, was established.

The company manufactures bedroom, sitting-room and youth room furniture. The production is made of wood particle boards, using the most modern and popular technology in the Western countries as well as honeycomb substrate technology that helps to reduce the weight of a massive panel of a thickness of 50 mm by a half.

Modern equipment from such world known manufacturers as Holzma, Homag, Burkle, Weeke, Wikoma, and Cefla enables us to manufacture different types of furniture, finished on HDF (high density fiberboard); a minor portion of the production includes the furniture made of laminated wood particle boards.
