victor guynup came to humboldt co calif in 1949 on honeymoon and never left.His Logging company at its peak logged 45 million ft per year.from 1963-1980s he was the leading shipper/exporter of logs to japan in n.calif from his own deep sea terminal on humboldt bay.Victor passed away 6/4/03 and the company still is on a much smaller scale and more diversified, working in many different facets of timber industry.Have large 2nd growth redwood,doug fir,and other softwood land holdings.just purchased a small mill for old growth redwood salvage logs and will soon be ready to market a product.
