| BOOST FOR INDONESIAN SUSTAINABILITY INDONESIA: The International Tropical Timber Council (ITTO) has pledged more than US$8 million for initiatives promoting sustainable tropical forest management. Commitments were made at the 32nd session, which finished at the weekend, to finance 15 projects, six feasibility studies and a range of other activities. Three projects, worth a total of US$1.6 million, are to promote collaborative forest management in East Kalimantan and Bali and the development of a sustainable rattan industry. |
