AUSTRALIA: Victoria¡¯s forest industry will receive a boost from a new deepwater port being planned for Barry Point in South Gippsland, the Melbourne Age reports. ANCON Australia, Esso Australia and BHP Billiton have signed an agreement that clears the way for the port development, which will enable better utilisation of more than 90,000 ha of forestry plantations.
