With many traders absent and weather disrupting
business across much of the nation’s midsection,
framing lumber prices finished close to where
they started the week. Storms and flooding in
parts of the South marked the worst of the
winter’s first onslaught. But snow also arrived
in the Northeast after unseasonably warm weather
through much of December. Transportation was a
factor as well, as truckers willing to pick up
loads between the two holidays were scarce.
